The lodge is a vintage gem, perfectly preserved since the 1930s. The spacious and tastefully decorated cabins offer a riverside retreat. The location is conveniently close to popular attractions like the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway, yet still feels peaceful. The staff is attentive and the restaurant offers delicious food right on the premises. The private decks in the cabins provide a tranquil spot to relax and listen to the nearby river.

I recently had an amazing night at a charming historic lodge nestled by a breathtaking river. The location was perfect, surrounded by stunning scenery and even had a patio where I could relax and watch kayakers glide down the river. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring. The staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring I had everything I needed. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and the bar was a great place to unwind. The lodge also had convenient amenities like laundry facilities.
One minor downside was that the bar closed a bit early, at 8pm.

This hidden gem in the Western North Carolina mountains offers breathtaking views of a river right from your room. The clean and comfortable rooms have windows overlooking the river, and the bathrooms have been beautifully renovated. The attentive and knowledgeable staff provide exceptional service, making your stay even more enjoyable. The on-site restaurant offers delicious food with phenomenal views of the river. With a variety of trails to hike and the reasonable prices, this resort is a perfect choice for a weekend getaway.
The hotel made a mistake in room assignments, causing disappointment and inconvenience for some guests.

The location of this lodge was absolutely breathtaking! Situated right by the river, it offered stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The cabins were extra clean and comfortable, providing a cozy and relaxing stay. Additionally, the restaurant at the lodge had a variety of delicious items on the menu, including a mouthwatering burger and crunchy sweet potato fries.
the lunch service took over an hour and the appetizer arrived with our meal. Secondly, the server lacked knowledge and proper training on handling food allergies, leading to a misunderstanding with the pizza order.

The location of the lodge is perfect for those looking to explore the stunning natural surroundings. It is nestled in a picturesque valley, close to the renowned "Dragon" motorcycling road. The lodge offers a variety of accommodations, including spacious rooms with beautiful river views. Guests can enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the patio that overlooks the rolling river. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant serves excellent food, such as the mouthwatering salmon with blackberry sauce.
The cabin accommodations can suffer from noise issues, as they are divided from a larger cabin.

This property was perfect for an upscale biker getaway. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. The grounds are large and beautiful, great for photos and to hang out after a day of riding the Dragon and other amazing routes. Proximity to the Tail of the Dragon was literally 2 miles! Free laundry, indoor and outdoor dining and bars, large patio overlooking the river was excellent for relaxing and visiting. Front gates lock at 10 pm, giving it added security and a high-end feel.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location of the lodge was stunning, especially for hiking Bear Creek Trail to see The falls. The staff at the lodge were exceptional, working together like a family and providing sincere hospitality. The cabin we stayed in had a prime location with a view of the river, and hearing the sounds of the river at night was amazing. While the cabin was a bit pricey for its size, overall it was a wonderful experience. We just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the surroundings and walks.

Had an amazing Christmas weekend at this cozy lodge! The location was perfect, nestled in the beautiful mountains and right by the river. The view was breathtaking and we loved sitting by the fire pits and listening to the rushing river. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
The only downside was that our room was a bit damp when we arrived and the bathroom had some issues with leaks. Maintenance was quick to respond, but it was a bit inconvenient.
